### Combinations and their cost

Draker variation of dragon poker uses only two combinations (hands):

Straight
Set of cards ordered according to their ranks or professions. Ace can participate in combinations of court cards (Queen-King-Ace) and numbers (Ace-Deuce-Three). Combinations through Ace (Queen-King-Ace-Deuce) are prohibited.
Набор карт одинакового достоинства или профессии.

The combination may consist of any number of cards, even one. The same combination can be straight according to both rank and profession or straight according to profession and quads according to denomination.

The length of combination is the amount of cards in it.

Card strength equals to 1. It increases by one for each token "+1" on the card or decreases by 1 for each token "-1". In addition, the card can be imposed with effects, increasing or decreasing its strength.

Basic cost of combination equals to the total strength of the cards in it. In addition, the card and / or combination may generally be subject to effects increasing or decreasing the basic cost.

The final cost is determined as follows: the base cost is multiplied by 2 for each additional form of combinations and 3, if the cards in combination are of the same suit (flash). This rule is only used for the combinations consisting of three or more cards.

The final value of the attacking and defensive combinations is, respectively, points for attack and defence, which the player can dispose of.

Example. The combination consists of three cards. The combination is a straight according to both rank and profession. The basic cost of this combination is: the number of cards 3 + one token "+1", a total of 4. Final cost: the basic value 4 multiplied by 2 for an additional straight and multiplied more by 3 for a flash. Total turns to be 24.

### Combinations formation, activation of effects and payment of their value.

During the game, players make combinations, with their help, earning points of attack and defence. Combination formation is an event that enters into the main stack. The procedure for combination formation: the player puts a card from his hand and announces combinations involving this card. Laid card is considered one forming these combinations.

Combinations are defensive and attacking. The defensive ones usually involve cards of its pool, attacking combination involves cards of its and, necessarily, the common pools. So the combination is considered to be attacking only if it involves at least one card of the common pool, on the other hand, defensive combination cannot involve cards of a common pool. A player may declare two combinations at once - both attacking and defensive. They certainly involve the newly taken card.

Just after the announcement of the combination comprising at least three cards, the player can activate the individual effects of any card of his pool. Standard effects of a card forming a combination are activated automatically, provided that the combination consists at least of three cards. The stack is firstly entered by the event of combinations formation, and, then, the standard effects of the card in the order starting from the bottom one, shown on the card.

Activation of simple or instant effect is the effect placement in the corresponding stack (for instant effects – to the stack of instant effects, for simple effects – to the main stack). Activation of modifier is an event entering into the main stack.

Any effect provides an indication of any action. The timing of this action is indicated in the text of effect, or, in the absence of such guidance, it occurs immediately after the effect granting.

Individual effects can demand payment by points of attack and/or defence. The calculation of attack/defence points earned and spent is made in the phase of combinations cost calculation. If the number of points spent is more than point earned, then for every "extra" point spent the player is deducted with three points of life.

Standard effects payment is the formation of an attacking and/or defensive combination of three or more cards length. Event of combination formation and effects activation of their forming card is considered a single and enters the main stack. Activated effects fall into their respective stacks. If all combinations, formed by the chosen card, were killed, the action of standard and free individual effects are cancelled.
